With over 17 years of experience in construction management and general contracting, Russell Yates broadens Compass Solutions’ existing base of technical knowledge and management experience. Through extensive work in residential, commercial, and telecommunications construction environments, Russell brings in-depth experience and knowledge to each project.  He is a proven leader with the ability to build cohesive teams that are aligned to deliver the customer service that the clients require.

At the foundation are Russell’s many years as a general contractor. Here he developed first hand skills required to satisfy the needs of his clients while successfully developing his general contracting business. Russell continued to increase his knowledge through real estate development ventures in the residential market where he was solely responsible for market research, design development, permitting and construction.

Russell has worked as an owner’s representative and consultant to the largest wireless telecommunications carriers and their site development projects. Here he has become recognized for his leadership skills, broad knowledge of real estate, planning, construction, and project management. As a result, Russell has led many project teams and consistently provided the results necessary to secure continuing work with his clients.

Russell has participated in the start-up of a fiber optic communications company where he worked to create and execute a program for build-out of communication hub facilities throughout Silicon Valley. This experience enabled Russell to increase his construction knowledge of high tech data center environments.

Prior to joining Compass Solutions, Russell was a project manger and then regional manager for Parsons Corporation, one of the largest management, engineering and construction companies in the world. It is here that Russell brought together all of his past experiences, and used them to simultaneously manage development projects and project staff for several large corporate clients. Russell also achieved formal project manager status through Parsons Project Management Certification Program.

Russell is excited to be working with Compass Solutions.  His diverse experience working with owners, architects, engineers and contractors enables him to effectively manage these relationships to ensure, most importantly, client satisfaction. He demonstrates his skill and professionalism on every project and complements Compass Solutions’ existing reputation for excellence.

Rick Coeur

Rick Coeur is a Senior Project Manager who has been performing project and construction management services since 1995 and he has brought this experience to the Compass Solutions team.  Rick worked as an owner’s representative in wireless site development for 9 years representing national telecommunications companies in both California and Hawaii.

Rick extended his construction related experience while working as a project manager for several San Francisco general contractors before joining Compass Solutions. Rick’s commercial interior construction experience includes restaurants and specialty tasting rooms, high rise commercial interiors, technology driven build outs as well as LEED projects. Rick typically managed 8-10 million dollars in work annually with project valuations ranging from $35,000 to several million.

From his general contracting experience Rick gained a comprehensive understanding of construction practices, processes and pitfalls, which helped define his pro-active approach to managing “turn-key” projects. Rick’s experience enables Compass Solutions to expand their services more effectively into San Francisco by offering clients the benefit of his relationships with local architects, contractors, suppliers and inspectors.

Teamwork is a corner stone of Compass Solutions’ business philosophy. Rick’s shares this philosophy and he will ensure that each project is run efficiently with clearly defined goals based on budget and schedule driven parameters.  Rick holds a graduate degree in Institutional Management and has established a proven track record of working with companies with diverse organizational needs.

Jennifer Hummel

Office Manager

Jennifer Hummel has a strong background in providing project and administrative support for Compass Solutions.  She has been with the company since the beginning.  With 8 years experience in office and project management, Jennifer is responsible for all administrative work to ensure each project runs smoothly and efficiently.  She oversees the organization and maintenance of project and business documentation, as well as assisting project managers with serving the needs of our clients.

In addition to administrative work, Jennifer also manages accounts receivable and payable – including all billing and reports.  Using her 5 years of accounting experience, she ensures all billing invoices and statements are sent in a correct and timely manner.

Additionally, Jennifer is responsible for the design and publishing of the Compass Solutions web site.  Her skills and experience in web site design and programming have helped the company display our experience and previous projects on the internet for current and potential clients to see.  She also has a background in computers and provides technical support for staff.
